Phone interview. This is a great way to weed out candidates and zone in on the perfect housekeeper. Come prepared to the call with a list of interview questions and a list of what qualities your are looking for in a candidate. This will help you determine if they are a good fit for you or not.
Video call. After a phone interview, consider progressing to a video call. This is one of the most popular ways to interview a housekeeper. Some free popular platforms include Zoom and Skype. Not only can you meet housekeepers face to face but you can also provide a virtual tour of your home in order to get an accurate quote. This eliminates the need for potential hires to your home in person prior to cleaning.
When you are close to making a hiring decision and want to meet the housekeepers in person, consider having an outdoor physical distance meet up. Here are some options:
Physical distance meetup in your backyard! If you have an outdoor space such as a backyard or front yard, welcome your potential hire to your outdoor space. Remember to keep 6 feet of distance and wear a mask if you choose.
