Housekeeper Job in Stouffville, Ontario

We are looking for a household helper/assistant in modern terms or butler/maid in the old sense. This person would be a 2nd hand to the family and available to assist with numerous tasks. Must have experience and skill in caring for a home including meticulous household maintenance/cleaning skills and cooking skills. The primary job responsibility is to maintain the employer's home in a clean and presentable manner and be 'hands on' in the performance of job responsibilities, including the following samples: -Cleaning the interior of the home - bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting and polishing surfaces -Daily meal preparation and kitchen maintenance - dishes, cupboards, pantry, counters and floors -Laundry, (Clothing & household linens) bed making, routine bedding & linen changes -Keeping track of groceries and household supplies and maintaining shopping lists, sometimes doing grocery shopping -Organization: may rotate seasonal clothing in closets, maintain pantry and routinely clear out of date and spoiled items. -Picking up the kids from the school bus (8 and 9 years old). -Making sure the kids homework are done -Preparing the kids lunch and snacks for the next day -Watching the kids at times if the parents have other engagements -Light yard work and maintenance of grounds including cleaning patio furniture etc. -Having your own car/transportation is important. -Must be comfortable with our very friendly golden doodle dog. Working hours are flexible and we can accommodate up to 40 hours during the weekdays . Occasional weekend shifts with requests made in advance. Looking for someone who communicates in English, has experience handling children/teenagers, who is calm, mature and flexible, is comfortable making decisions, cooks with enthusiasm - and likes to be active and has lots of energy! Wages are negotiable. This is not a nanny position as our kids are older but some of the duties are similar.
