Housekeeper in Klamath Falls, Oregon

I am looking to build my portfolio as a Cleaning and Organizing professional with you! This encompasses a mix of Re-decorating, De-cluttering, Organization and Housekeeping tasks. I am looking to create a less stressful atmosphere for folks through cleaning and organizing. My educational and life experiences have taught me many of the required skills necessary to help a variety of individuals, while ensuring customer satisfaction and peace of mind. In September 2015, I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Natural Resources with an emphasis on Recreation Leadership and Tourism Management from Oregon State University’s College of Forestry. During college, I explored many different degree options to find my niche including Interior Design, Leadership, Horticulture, Geographic Information Systems and Marketing. When I started attending Oregon State University, I was in the Interior Design Program for about a year and a half. I was constantly overwhelmed by the amounts of money that are poured into design. I was a down to earth farm girl, with the outlook of taking things that were broken and giving them a new life, and found that difficult. Growing up, I would spend endless hours, re-imagining spaces, and how it could be decorated and organized differently. I would re-organized my room about every month, constantly work in my dads wood shop creating furniture, and designing spaces on my interior design and auto cad programs on my computer. It was liberating to have the freedom to create a beautiful space, while utilizing the things I currently possess or a way to cheaply attain or build it. I still find that feeling liberating, and desire to create a clean, organized living environment for others. Most of my prior experience has been working in the recreation industry due to my love for our natural world, and have worked in a variety of roles including maintenance and grounds keeping, fence mending, back country trails position, wild land firefighting and recreational planning. These opportunities provided me the chance to analyze and improve my planning, leadership, coordination, and project management skills. During other moments, I was a coffee barista, a server and a housekeeper. My motto is “Be the Change you wish to see in the world” it’s a quote by Ghandi, and I want to help people and be a positive impact for those around me. I love making things better than they were, have an acute eye for detail, and thoroughly enjoy working with people, but operate alone more efficiently at times. When cleaning, I prefer to use non-harsh cleaning agents, but am flexible and understand that those harsher cleaning agents do wonders. I pay close attention to details like the towels matching, the toilet paper and paper towels folded nicely, and scrub hard to reach places with a toothbrush. I enjoy washing, folding and re-hanging linens, surface polishing, bed changing, and cleaning in general. I am an organized, timely individual with a can do attitude, capable of accommodating for a variety of individuals and tasks.
