Housekeeper Job in New York, New York

Hello, We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and detail oriented person to work part time as a laundress at our home on the Upper West Side*. We have a family of 8 so there’s always plenty of laundry that needs to be kept up with. *Please note: We spend our summers in Monsey, N.Y. Ideally, we would ideally like to find someone who is available to come with us during the summer. Having a mod e of transportation is a plus; however, we can negotiate a live-in situation if need be. Hours will be Monday through Friday 9am-3pm. Duties include washing, folding, and putting away laundry; starching and ironing necessary items; handwashing necessary garments; taking dry clean items to the cleaners and inventorying them upon return; basic repair of garments (sewing skills a plus). Speaking English is a must, but it’s a huge bonus if you also speak Spanish. Must be a team player as you will be working with other household staff. This position answers to our Personal Assistant and Project/Household Manager. References and background check are required prior to hiring. Salary is negotiable.
