Residential Living Rooms, Hallways, Stairs, Entries, Bedrooms, etc: • All areas including ceilings and walls dusted-on top, front and sides • Cushions and pillows fluffed and straightened • Hard surface floors swept and damp mopped • Carpeted floors vacuumed • Glass tables cleaned • Picture frames dusted • Lamp shades wiped down or dusted • Blinds dusted and wiped, if needed • Waste receptacles emptied and damp wiped, IF DESIRED • Beds made, IF DESIRED • Smudges removed around doorjambs, push plates, light switches, glass partitions, counters and unobstructed work areas • Soil removed from entrance doorframes, handles, glass and threshold • Carpet spots removed • Light general straightening Bathrooms: • All surfaces dusted and sanitized, as needed • Sink scrubbed, rinsed and buffed • Fixtures cleaned • Tub and/or shower thoroughly cleaned and rinsed • Toilets disinfected inside and out, including base and behind • Vanity top cleaned • Mirrors cleaned • Floor vacuumed or swept and mopped • Light general straightening Kitchens: • All surfaces dusted and sanitized as needed • Countertops and backsplash cleaned • Sinks scrubbed and rinsed and buffed • Floor vacuumed or swept and mopped • Outside of appliances cleaned (oven, microwave, refrigerator where clear, dishwasher, stovetop, etc.) • Inside of microwave cleaned • Small appliances wiped (toaster, blender, etc.) • Table washed • Light general straightening Miscellaneous: • Any unusual occurrences, malfunctions or damages reported Commercial Utilize the client’s customized commercial cleaning checklist to perform all tasks to the standards established by The Dust Collectors. Common tasks include: Dust furniture, equipment, partitions, walls, etc. Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, floors, toilet, mirrors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc in restrooms, break rooms and/or kitchenettes Replenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms and kitchen Sweep, mop, vacuum and/or hand scrub floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners Empty trash cans and recyclables into disposal areas Wipe down walls and woodwork, doors, wall hangings, baseboards, etc. Identify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to client in the comments section on the customer checklist. Arrive to work (client location) at scheduled time, perform services to established standards and insure the client’s facility is locked and secured when you finish and leave. Handle special requests for customers as appropriate and note handling on the customer checklist and company paperwork Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies and incident reporting. Construction Site clean-up includes coming in behind different subcontractors to clean up their messes and prepping the area for the next subcontractor. For example, once the flooring contractors complete their work, clean-up workers get the property ready for the painters, cabinetry workers or whichever subcontractor is coming in next. Cleaning up on site includes properly disposing of any debris and trash. Often, the clean-up worker will do a walk-through with the contractor to get an idea of exactly what the contractor expects and to receive any special clean-up instructions. The clean-up worker’s supervisor, or the worker himself, if he is an independent contractor, often follows up with the contractor to confirm that the clean-up job met expectations.
