Housekeeper Job in Nepean, Ontario

Clean a given number of guest rooms, and bathrooms, according to Holiday Inn Express standards Equip bedrooms, and bathrooms with guest supplies according to standard set-ups Use cleaning products and materials according to proper handling procedures Maintain proper working of all machinery and cleaning utensils, i.e: carts, vacuums Report any maintenance deficiencies found promptly to the maintenance team. Correct set-up of floor carts and maintaining neatness and tidiness at all times. Follow up on special cleaning defects and hazards immediately to the Executive Housekeeper. Ensure all guestroom alarm clocks, kitchen appliances, hair dryers, etc, are in proper working order Control temperatures in guest rooms with respect to season Ensure all equipment is returned to its designated storage area Assist in spring cleaning following the list provided each season Regular upkeep on vents, lamp shades, walls, light bulbs and dusting under and behind all furniture Ensure all equipment is used correctly, preventing damage and early breakage Prompt reports of Lost and Found articles to the Executive Housekeeper Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Perform other duties as requested by management. Work Environment Must be available to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to evening, weekends and/or holidays Must possess excellent verbal communication skills. Work in a physically demanding position (bending, standing, scrubbing, lifting, pushing...etc) Must be able to work both independently and as a team. Energy and enthusiasm are essential. Must be able to stand and exert well paced mobility for up to 8 hours. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch on an ongoing basis to fulfill job tasks Preferred Education & Qualifications Ability to organize and multi-task. Previous housekeeping experience is an asset. Excellent communicator.
