Outgoing, busy, and friendly family is looking for a fast paced professional who can eventually become a live in housekeeper around January of 2018. For now, the housekeeper will work from 9:00 to 5:30pm Monday through Friday with varied possible weekend or holiday flexibility. Need energetic, fast paced individual that would have no problem handling a 5500 square room home. Busy varied duties are below: Housekeeper General Purpose To maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for private households. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities •sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors •vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies •shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery •dust and polish furniture and fittings •clean metal fixtures and fittings •empty and clean trash containers •dispose of trash in a sanitary manner •clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers •wipe down glass surfaces •make up beds and change linens as required •tidy up rooms •wash windows as scheduled •sort, wash, load and unload laundry •iron and press clothing and linen •sort, fold and put away clean laundry •operate mechanized cleaning equipment •maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition •monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements •check and purchase groceries and household supplies to maintain adequate levels •maintain record of related expenditure •plan and cook meals for employer •plan and cook for occasional parties •care for household pets (include walking 2 small dogs) •wash dishes and clean kitchen according to agreed hygiene standards •clean appliances •run errands for employer •answer telephone and take messages Physical tasks that require certain physical abilities including but not limited to: •able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 25lbs •able to stand for long periods of time •able to kneel, bend and crawl •able to squat and crouch •able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals Competency requirements •able to listen and follow instructions •effective communication skills •able to work unsupervised •able to maintain a professional manner at all times •displays integrity and honesty •maintains a positive attitude towards family, and guests •demonstrates attention to detail and thoroughness Education and Experience: High School Diploma preferred, 2-3 years’ relevant experience. •Must complete a criminal background check and drug test •Must show stable work history
