Housekeeper Job in Bar Harbor, Maine

Seeking an especially capable housekeeper for a large staffed apartment on the Upper East Side. Only one resident, but adult children visit occasionally. Looking for someone with previous housekeeping experience, ideally from a large private residence. Must be energetic, attentive to detail, organized, able to work well with others as well as take direction well. Ideal candidate gets satisfaction from a job well done and appreciates working in an organized, friendly atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. We would prefer someone who lives nearby or by a dependable subway line, so we can depend on you to make it in, even in severe weather. Employer is VERY detail oriented and we ask candidates be the same. Main duties will include: general housekeeping cleaning all areas of house to an exacting standard; vacuuming daily, cleaning and care of furniture, art and antiques. Also washing and ironing of clothes and linen. The housekeeper works Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Delicious lunches will be provided by the in-house chef. Twice a month, housekeeper asked to go to a secondary location around the corner (an office/studio space), to clean after work for a few hours for time and a half pay.
