Housekeeper Job in Greenwich (CDP), Connecticut

A young family of five in Greenwich, CT seeks long term housekeeper to work full time to assist with the daily maintenance and full charge cleaning of their large Greenwich, CT residence. Candidate must have excellent references with long tenure work experience. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, time management and organization skills are mandatory. The right candidate will be active, nurturing, experienced and skilled who likes to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Family require a calm, kind and sweet candidate who has a quiet and respectful disposition. The role’s primary responsibilities include full-charge housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry, some ironing and family style cooking. The family is very friendly and informal, and is looking for a long-term fit who can grow with them over many years. Candidate must be positive and happy, with a can do attitude. Must be warm and engaging so to fit seamlessly in the fun, safe, and supportive family environment of the home. Candidate must strive to develop trusting relationships with the children and principals. This is a live out position. Location: Greenwich, CT Primary Hours: Monday – Friday from 6.45am AM – 5:15 PM Additional hours/pay available (but not required); Sundays or Saturday nights 6pm -10 pm depending on candidate’s availability/preference. Salary: A competitive salary will be offered based on candidate’s experience and availability DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - All aspects of general housekeeping and cleaning of residence, including but not limited to, floor cleaning including moldings, vacuuming, dusting, laundry and ironing/steaming. Should have experience with the care and cleaning of fine surfaces such as delicate wood flooring, marble, china, etc. - Organization of the residence; including closets, pantries, drawers, etc. - Child care duties will consist of helping get the children up and ready for school. - Meal planning alongside with mother and preparation and cooking meals for the family. Requirements: - Must be passionate about keeping a house clean and be able to clean all areas of the house relying on a set schedule. - Must be a skilled organizer, be willing to learn and maintain the organization throughout the house. - Must love to cook and be able to cook healthy meals using recipes provided by the employer. - Must love children, be active, attentive, patient, and caring with them. - Must be extremely punctual and reliable to not miss work and be reachable via phone during work hours. - Must be hardworking, motivated and responsible. - Must be well organized and be able to plan daily work around child care, cleaning and cooking responsibilities. - Must be happy to become a part of the family and do everything whole heartedly and work well with the mom and nanny. - Must be willing to go the extra step in order to get the job well done as well as pitch in anywhere needed. - Must be legal to work in the US. Must accept salary to be paid on the books. - Must have Driver’s License and own transportation to get to work as the residence is not located within walking distance of public transportation. - Must have a command of the English language. - Must be a non-smoker Required experience: 3-5 years minimum experience in Housekeeping, Cooking and Childcare. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated track record of longevity with their former family-employers. We require references (ideally from a full-time housekeeping job with some childcare) and run background checks. Required education: High school or equivalent
