Daily wage of a tipped employee should be low; so that as US Home Owner we can employ daily maid services. Minimum Daily Cash wage of a tipped employee is 4.95$ per hour or about 5$/hr in Illinois. A part time maid can have a few Perks in lieu of extra time like a snack or a meal. A full time live in maid can do minimum 3 chores ‘in lieu’ of living accommodation & utilities bill. An old Post... My humble demand for maintaining a clean home & running it efficiently just like Ma’s & Grandma’s did.. I want to ‘Ditto’ Indian Home Owners in US. Indian Ladies like my Mom, Mom-in-law, Sister-in-laws have all the help in Running their Home & Raising Kids too. That’s how we were brought up. Indian Home Owners are obligated to employ the less fortunate & help them keep & maintain their Family in a House with Lock & Key. Part time Maids Come & Go everyday. Full time Maids who might stay in Seperate Outhouse/ Servants Quarter (Indian Home Owner’s Term) or Seperate Level, Ring the Bell and Enter the Home for daily Chores. 2 daily Chores are ‘in Lieu’ of accommodation, 1 daily Chore for AC & Hot Water, 1 daily Chore for Internet Data & Entertainment. All 3 meals, Tea & snacks can be with HOA’s family but eaten in own space. Some payment can be given depending on if they do more work. Dishes with Kitchen Clean with appliances clean sometimes is one Chore, Sweeping- Mopping- Vacuuming, Bathrooms Clean, Laundry are 4 Famous Chores. Dusting, Cooking, Cleaning Car, Gardening, Helping Kids are extra Chore for which they can be paid. As a Mom in US I’m doing all this & also doing Groceries & driving kids for their Activities. I don’t get Paid & I don’t have a Maid!!!
