Housekeeper in Woodinville, Washington

Hello, my husband (Wayne) and I, (Debbie), have ventured into the housecleaning, and office duties (debbie), as (Wayne), does small maintenance issues, etc, for the last 7 years. My mother and father fell ill to two very horrible dementia and Alzheimer's diseases, and so we both decided to quit our full time jobs, to make sure that we had the availability to be near them, if they need us. I, (Debbie), started, out with Caregiving, and really had a very very full schedule, and learned about all kinds of caregiving, and still do that as well as we both watch cats, in our area while the families are away, and then that turned into a really fun opportunity of on call housecleaning. We have been working for an upper end home for the past 2 1/2 years, and we are just curious as to what else is out there. I have attached a letter of reference from this couple, and we are still working for them, but life is what we make it, and we would love to see what is out there in our community that people need being done. I am still in the caregiving business, and would love to assist those that need it during the day, or take someone to the store, or to a movie, or to a friends house, or any other kind of care that is needed. You name it, I have done everything to hospice. I have a letter from a woman's neighbor in 2014. I have learned a lot about life doing this venture. I believe never to place all of your life's dreams in one basket. I have found more happiness, and the ability to market myself and be a very good marketing person, and have noticed that listening to the customer sometimes is all they want. In people's senior years, or if they are ill, it can be very lonely, and yes, I have my parents, but about 2 years ago, and there are 2 other sisters, it was a decision that the sister(s) made because all of us are still working, or need to bring in some income, to put both of them together, as when my mother became ill, it was still in one of our homes. Now that we are dealing with this, of having them in an assisted living home, I would never say assisted living's are not good, never, I would say, they are definitely for some people and not for others. I do believe that the future of our world will be "aging in place" within reason. Meaning, the cost of assisted living is so expensive, that by the time the baby boomers have reached their full potential of being 75 then families will start to look at the costs, etc. and the realization is/are that the baby boomer's as my sister's and I are, we have spent a lot on our parents, but they have also saved a lot of money for their retirement, that they sort of were able to fill. They saved like no other. My husband, Wayne, and I have really enjoyed watching cats, when families have a break, and doing on call housecleaning, (2 - 5 times a month), or cleaning for 3 hours 2 x a week, or we will customize it for you. Cleaning a house, I have learned is an entirely new concept, as we are NOT an agency, and we are well trained, both of us, are very tidy, and we listen very carefully to your needs.
