Housekeeper Job in Yountville, California

Napa Valley Lodge is looking for a part time Housekeeper, aprox. 24 hours a week. Typical shifts are 9AM to 3:30PM, including weekends. As a Housekeeper, your contribution will insure the cleanliness of all guest rooms. Essential duties will include cleaning, dusting, polishing and vacuuming, while making sure guest rooms and bathrooms meet hotel high standards of quality. Change linens, make beds, and leave the bathroom sparkling clean. Restock all guest room supplies, and amenities. Restock Housekeeping carts, and visual inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance. Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with others Ability to apply common sense and a understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions. Extremely detail oriented, to ensure the quality of cleanliness Ability to print and speak English, in simple sentences Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral diagram or schedule form Knowledge of stain removal, chemical cleaning agents, and operation of different types of cleaning equipment Able to learn and apply Hazardous Chemical Training Standards Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge skill and ability Able to maintain good working relationships with other departments, associates and guest Fundamentals To be successful in this role, you need Basic English communication skills. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 25-30 pounds. You will also lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
