Primary responsibilities: Housecleaning duties: • Vacuum/mop hardwood floors and carpet. • Clean toilets with toilet brush and chemicals. • Wash soiled clothes and linens. • Place fresh linens on bed. • Wash, fold, and put away clothes. • Empty wastebaskets and take out trash. • Wash dishes and put dishes away in cupboards. • Wipe down appliances. • Wash baseboards, walls, and ceilings. • Turn mattresses, plump pillows, and change cushions. • Clean upholstered furniture and drapes. • Dust tables, wood surfaces, shelves, wall art • Clean and dust window treatments. • Replace burned out light bulbs. • Weekly empty dehumidifier. • Take out trash • Sweep driveways and walkways. • Maintain cleanliness of outside grill – clean when needed. House Management: Interior: • Dry cleaning management. Coordinate dry clean pick up. Set out in time on Mon/Thurs and reorganizing it back into the closet when it comes back on a weekly basis. • Get mail on a weekly basis and sort out junk mail into the garbage. • Change the general water filter on a monthly basis. • Monitor any issues with ADT security. • Work with contractors (i.e. electrical, heating/cooling, lawn/snow) and quality assured the services. Coordinate the contractor bid selection process once a year to present to homeowners for final approval. • Inspection of entire house, looking for water leaks or any other issues that may arise. • Prepare for guest, including making sure all necessities are ready in the guest room (clean towels, bedding, extra blankets, toiletries, drinks in refrigerator etc.) • Test smoke alarms, change batteries. • Schedule HVAC / furnace inspections. Exterior: • Hot tub (Include weekly chemical test and monitoring. Complete clean out and refill hot tub, restock chemicals and filters). • Tidy and organize the garage. • Seasonal Changes. o Summer- once-a-year at the beginning of summer cleaning jobs • Clean the windows. • Clean the deck. • Clean the driveway. • Make sure patio furniture is taken out of storage, set up and ready to use. • Make sure boats and dock are ready to use. • Maintain MasterCraft and wave runner (gas, batteries are charged, equipment are covered and cleaned) • Sort and organize the pantry. • Air out luggage. • Flush the water heater. • Vacuum out air vents and registers. o Fall –once-a-year at the beginning of the fall cleaning jobs • Clean and store patio furniture in garage. • Coordinate boat and wave runners to be put away for the winter. • Work with a contractor to (Touch up paint on trim, railings and decks, check caulk around windows and doors if needed). • Inspect external doors and garage doors. Do they close tightly? Call constructor for install weather-stripping, door thresholds if needed. • Wash exterior windows. • Drain and store garden hoses. • Install insulating covers on exterior spigots. In hard-freeze areas, have sprinkler systems blown free of water. • Check gutters and downspouts. Clear of debris if necessary. • Have chimneys and flues inspected and cleaned if necessary. • Pull refrigerator away from the wall, and vacuum the condenser coils. • Inspect each appliance. • Clean or replace humidifier elements before the heating season begins. • Inspect washer hoses for bulges, cracks or splits. • Schedule fall furnace inspections if needed. Grocery shopping duties: • Stock kitchens with groceries and condiments. • Throw out expired food in fridge. • Restock house with cleaning supplies. • Stock basic household items per the owner preference (ex. specific brand toothpaste, toilet paper) Meal preparation: • Washing and chopping vegetables/meats for us to cook when we get home or start them prior before we get home. Although this role generally does not include any cooking duties, skills need for meal preparation include proficiently being able to utilize a wide range of kitchen tools and utensils, include chopping knives. • Responsible for completing a large number of smaller tasks. Such tasks could include ensuring that leftover food is stored properly, performing kitchen maintenance tasks such as emptying the trash and washing dishes, and testing the temperature of food at specified intervals. Errands: • Keeping of the family agenda, arranging for reservations of various events, travel bookings, tending to the needs of guests, event planning, gift shopping, and running errands of all types. • Attend to any specific requests notes that are left on the counter. The right person must be willing to get involved in running a household. Ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic calculations, follow oral and written instructions, and two years of experience in general cooking and housekeeping; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Individual must have a driver license and access to a car. Comprehensive background check and reference checks will be conducted by a third party vendor. Immediate opening.
