Housekeeper Job in Elm Grove, Wisconsin

Posting: Hey my name is Sarah. I am looking to employ a home cleaner living in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. I'm hoping to hire a knowledgeable, consistent candidate with bi weekly availability. Family in Elm Grove seeking full or part time housekeeper and “mom” helper for a mom who works from home. We are a family of 5 (3 daughters; 13, 4 and 1) in Elm Grove with 2 dogs and one cat looking for a housekeeper and helper to do a variety of tasks. Mom works from home; kids are in school or childcare programs full time. Mom’s work involves daily projects in the kitchen, so the right person will be regularly in the kitchen helping with clean up and doing ingredient preparation and other tasks. Regular errands will include things like pick-ups and drop-offs, grocery runs, bank, UPS, etc. New, insured car will be provided for any task that requires driving. Non-smokers only please. Those at higher risk for COVID 19 complications should note that we have a household member in an essential industry that shares enclosed space with others that at times does not allow for social distancing, as well as 3 children back at in-person school, two of which are too young to wear masks. Flexible on hours and days, looking for 25 - 40 hours per week. No nights or weekends (however, some weekend hours may be available if that works best with applicants’ schedule.) Applicant needs to be fine around animals – we have 2 dogs and one cat. Cleaning duties: Dishes – dishwasher and larger dishes that must be handwashed. Kitchen – countertop and cabinet surfaces. Appliances inside and out. Cleaning out fridge periodically. Appliance cleaning, inside and out (and occasionally behind, such as pulling the stove away from the wall and cleaning underneath and behind it). Bathrooms – sinks and faucets, countertops, backsplash, tub/shower, toilets, mopping. Floors – vacuuming and mopping (kitchen) daily. Fish tanks – I will train on how to clean them and do water changes. Some experience with fish is a plus but is certainly not required. Must not mind putting your hands in fish tank water. Plants – watering and light grooming (pull/cut off dead pieces). Laundry – I will wash all laundry, but need help with hanging to dry, ironing, lint-rolling, folding, putting away and keeping closets organized and neat. Organizing and deep cleaning projects (garage in spring, going through stuff in basement, reorganizing closets, etc.) Windows, mirrors, glass cabinets and surfaces. Dusting, vacuuming furniture. Occasional pet care (taking dogs to pet grooming store, deep cleaning of cat box). The right candidate must be able to do deep cleaning projects (scrubbing, heavy cleaning) and some lifting (heavier boxes, carrying things up and down small flight of stairs). This is a cash job that will pay for the previous weeks’ hours every Monday.
