Hi there my name is Carlito. I used to work at the Sea to Sky Gondola as Sous chef and on - call/ casual assistant teacher at the Montessori and at Chopra Wellness Center (Recovery, Detox and Healing from Addiction, PTSD Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Emotional Trauma, Alcohol and Addiction) as a chef/ support staff, and we serve vegetarian, vegan, and gluten - free meals which I create my own recipe to accommodate all guests especially those with dietary restrictions. I am currently working as a supervisor of Food and Nutrition services department at VGH. And also, I work (part - time/ contract) as medical escort/ support worker at Independent Quality Home Care and with Atira. My duties include arrange, plan, escort and transport/accompany as necessary, patients/ individuals on their medical appointments, errands and other activities. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, administer medication to clients and provide medication reminders. Provides meal programs or support in accordance with established policy, meal planning and preparation, and companionship.Some of my duties also duties include: maintaining the safety and security of the building including conducting building rounds and fire watch; ensuring only approved guests enter the building; delivering and or leaving meals at the door of each tenant/resident, leaving needed supplies outside tenant/resident doors as needed; conducting regular health and safety checks in person, by phone or through tenant/resident doors as appropriate, and ensuring those health checks are documented detailing any concerns the resident has. I am currently studying as a Community Support/ Youth worker Program, which is funded by the BC government, sponsored by AOL college. The course will run for about six to eight months, through on – line(free time/ flexible) platform and some classroom learning as well. I also got a ticket for Occupational First Aid level 3. I am fully vaccinated.
