CARE North Hastings is a volunteer based, non-profit charitable organization that provides a range of services for seniors 55 and physically challenged adults 18 residing in the Northern Townships of Hastings County, the municipality of Highlands East and the District of Nippissing. CARE North Hastings is committed to the following principles: *Assisting seniors and physically challenged adults to retain their personal dignity, quality of life and freedom of choice. *Helping our clients stay as independent as feasible and to remain in their homes as long as possible by providing a reliable support system. *Providing relevant programs to help clients cope with life transitions and to prevent premature or unnecessary institutionalization. *Ensuring the most efficient and effective use of community resources and volunteers to provide care and services for seniors and physically challenged adults. CARE NH works closely with the SMILE Program as well as ICART (Integrated Community Assessment and Referral Team-A proactive approach to community based services for high-risk seniors). We have regular requests for short and long term housekeeping needs through these programs. CARE NH is now looking to expand the it's list of housekeepers in the area. We would require those interested to fill out an application form, complete a vulnerable sector check and do a short orientation to our agency. The current rate for service is $15/hr. We have many seniors in need of your support.
