Additional work can apply below: About the Employer: The employer is a private regional hospitality business that is currently expanding into food and entertainment. About the Jobs: We are currently hiring three Operations & Hospitality Managers in the Berkeley area. Pay increases can be expected based on performance within the first six months. The hours range from 2-25 hours per week based on your availability. Job overview and description: In this position you will be leading, directing, and managing vacation rental operations. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to coordinating and performing check-ins and check outs, and coordinating the cleaning and maintenance services. You will be overseeing booking operations and marketing initiatives by managing advertising, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving issues. Part of your time will be spent in office, and part of your time will be spent out of the office overseeing all of the apartment activities. Below is a summary of responsibilities. Main Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to: Guest Relations & Hospitality (60% of time): *Check-Ins: Welcoming guests and informing guests regarding the apartment. *Providing information and answering questions regarding the local area. *Handling guest issues, complaints, and requests pro-actively. *Check-Outs: Reviewing apartment for damage and inventorying of apartments. Apartment Maintenance & Operations Responsibilities (30% of time): *Coordinating cleanings and maid services. *Coordinating maintenance for anything damaged or in need of repair. *Purchasing trips to buy supplies. *Managing bookings and communications with guests. Apartment Setup & Furnishing (10% of time): *Researching furniture purchases *Purchasing furniture *Scheduling & coordinating movers *Organizing apartments *Moving small items How Your Success Will Be Measured: *Guests are satisfied with the quality of the apartment, our hospitality, and level of service. *Co-workers & business partners maintain a positive professional relationship. *Business operations are efficient and well managed with some but minimal acceptable error. Required Skills & Attributes: *Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills *Extremely organized *Internet savvy *Computer literate (Excel, Word, Email) *Entrepreneurial, analytical, and with strong problem solving skills *Flexibility and adaptability *Customer and hospitality focused *High standards of quality, responsibility, and diligence *Strong sense of teamwork *Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs. *Ability to work independently and take individual initiative for your responsibilities. *Flexibility to coordinate with other managers to check in guests when your schedule does not allow. *Neat professional grooming and presentation. *Must pass a background screening. Required Education and Experience: *High school graduate Preferred but Not Required: *Current university undergraduate or graduate student. *Any prior customer service or guest relations work at hotels or restaurants.
