Housekeeper Job in New York, New York

Live in position Housekeeper and Cook *Cook for private home - Cooking of healthy and nutritional food on daily basis. Must be very very comfortable following recipes and being in the kitchen. Culinary education and experience as a private cook a plus. Should be comfortable with casual family events as well as occasional dinner parties. Responsible for all meal preparation, serving and maintaining the kitchen and pantries impeccably.Responsible for all food shopping. * Must be educated. * Must be very clean and organized * Must be able to shop for all supplies – household and all grocery shopping (bi-weekly) . * Must be able to do some daily household cleaning (kitchen, family room, dining room, bedrooms) , laundry, ironing vacuuming and tidying up house at night. The primary responsibility, however, is cooking, shopping and babysitting when needed. * Must be team player and work well with other staff. * Must love kids and be happy to spend time with primarily our 9year old son. * Answer the door and phones in a professional manner at all times * Minimum 5-10 years of experience working in a formal house. * Must have a strong command of the English language * Must have excellent work history, and references * Reliability and trustworthiness are of paramount importance. * Drivers license is a plus. * Must have flexibility to travel to Hamptons for a few weeks in the summer Laundry and Ironing Changing children’s sheets 1 time per week Master bedroom sheets changed 2 times per week All food shopping Organizing closets and cabinets Making beds Cleaning bathrooms – wipe sink, clean toilet, rinse tub (this is done daily)
